The Terminal — Airbus’s Secret Café in Seletar Aerospace Park

Seletar Aerospace Park is full of hidden gems (check out my other Seletar posts in this series).
I had no idea this café called The Terminal existed, until I came across a brochure for a Dilmah Tea Inspired Award at a recent Taste of East Asia event.

The Terminal is tucked in a far corner of Seletar Aerospace Park inside the Airbus Asia Training Centre (near the building entrance).
Ironically The Terminal is one of the nearest cafés to SLE/CTE but it is so hidden you wouldn’t see it at all from the expressway!

The Terminal serves the breakfast and lunch crowd at the Airbus centre, but it is also open to the public. Parking is free inside the compound.

On Mondays to Fridays, there are set lunch menus below at $15, which may look a little pricey, but are actually reasonable given that this is a café setting in the middle of nowhere, and $15 is comparable to prices at The Oval restaurants.
The Terminal offered three Dilmah Tea Inspired Sets below:
– The Last Petal of Spring (a rose-flavoured jelly dessert)
– Ceylonese Summer (mango layer cake) with Chai Tea
– Colours of Autumn (aged duck with berry sauce and vegetables)

I chose the Ceylonese Summer with Chai Tea, because I love a good mango cake.
Here is what it is supposed to look like below:

The Ceylonese Summer cake comes with a jar of mango syrup which you can pour the desired amount over the cake.

Chai tea is infused with almond to make the cake sponge. A layer of mango jelly is added in between the slices of cake sponge.

Chai tea is also infused into the mousse, which is covered by chocolate drizzle.

The Ceylonese Summer cake is accompanied by coconut shavings, dry rose petals, shiso leaves, basil oil and strawberries.

It looks even more tempting after pouring the mango syrup over!
The cake tasted heavenly with the mango, mousse and chocolate blending together in sweet harmony.
Mixing the strawberries, coconut and basil oil also added texture and accompanying front and backnotes to the dish. Aiya just go try it yourself to understand what I mean.
The chai tea gave a rather musky spicy flavour to the palate, I’m not really a fan of chai tea but it paired rather well with the mango cake.
The Terminal also sells Asian and European dishes such as pasta…

Pizzas…

Specially-created dishes for festive seasons…

Desserts…

Accompanied with a selection of Dilmah teas.

There is enough seating for about 80–100 people and you can also choose from a selection of wines.

The Terminal is open from Mondays to Saturdays, and closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Check out their Facebook page, website and Instagram for menu and event updates.
